Real Madrid fans have criticized Ronaldo after another poor performance in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Girona
Cristiano Ronaldo was sensational last season as the club won La Liga and the Champions League.
However, this term it has not gone to plan, and after seeing a suspension handed following the Super Cup earlier in the season, he’s not really got started and there has been a huge amount of worrying stats flying around.
Ronaldo has scored less goals than Paulinho and Lionel Messi – with Messi on 12 goals to Ronaldo’s single league goal, and people were starting to worry about the player and if his age and relentless quest to be at the top has finally got to him.
In addition, Real Madrid didn’t buy enough in the summer and the loss of Alvaro Morata has caused huge issues – and the forward line are struggling heavily.
Barcelona meanwhile are flying and it’s certainly causing a huge amount of negative press and fan attention, with their huge amount of success last season setting the bar so high it was always going to be difficult for Zidane and the club this season.
